I am part of growing the game For The Girls.
It only makes sense that I would bring the growth closer to home.
Women’s Hockey is unique to mens hockey. One type of development camp does not fit both experiences.
I am a delivering a competitive development camp For The Girls experience.
What FTG means to me.
I am bringing home an organized all-female multi-week University/ College summer development camp for the U18 age group to Thunder Bay because it’s what I wish I had at that age. Having the opportunity to develop in an elite environment that is tailored to the women’s hockey experience is foundational to building a healthy relationship with the game, as these young players continue to increase their competitive drive. This program will be modelled around delivering young female competitors the tools they need to succeed, both in a team-environment and individually, moving onto a collegiate commitment and level.
I want to bring not only my knowledge about hockey and ability to facilitate elite level practices and strength sessions to this development camp. I also want to bring forward my experience and lived knowledge in the commitment process, my connections in the hockey world, my experience in dressing room dynamics for young women, individuality, nutrition and sport-life balance for long term high level performance.
