ON - ICE

Skills Development

Practice plans will highlight individual skills development on each ice session, before incorporating these skills into full-ice drills. On-ice sessions will be completed with mature drills that I am completing at a professional level, fostering and encouraging a level of compete and drive between teammates to encourage their growth.

The maximum number of players that will be enrolled in FTG is intentionally low, when compared to other summer camps, to ensure players will receive individual coaching with a high level of attentiveness to their needs, with each benefiting individually.

Player Development

Seminars and Discussions

These young players are at a pinnacle point in their career, as they are not only trying to perform at their top level and trying to secure places on their current teams, but also attain a college / university scholarship. I have matured throughout this process and have taken everything that I could from my experience. I am applying my professional and experienctial knowledge surrounding the recruitment process, nutrition, professional conduct, and sport-life balance for long-term success, into this program. The women’s hockey experience is entirely unique in comparison to mens hockey.

IN THE GYM

Strength and Conditioning

At Superior CrossFit, where I have rented the entire gym for all 12 sessions, I will teach the players how to take their game to the next level with weight training and proper lifting techniques. We will complete strength and conditioning sessions that will benefit them throughout the season and their hockey career. Sessions will focus on strength, speed, endurance and injury prevention through training. At this age, a proper strength routine with cardio can take any player’s game to the next level, rather than exclusively cardio.

Cost

Whole Program : Players $1050 / Goalies $950

Skate and Seminar : Players $900 / Goalies $700

Off-Ice Training : Players $250 / Goalies $250

(hst/gst inc.)

This camp is designed to deliver its players with the largest benefit moving into their season, by maximizing the effectiveness of each session. This is not an overcrowded, week-long, go until exhaustion, camp that does not benefit the player’s upcoming season because of the overload of training in a short amount of time. I have rented a private gym, am enrolling an appropriate number of players for proper one-on-one on-ice coaching and hosting seminars specific to their experience in women’s hockey at this age. I am dedicating myself to preparing the players who chose to let me accelerate their development to perform at their highest level in the upcoming season.
